Welcome to April Crimsons
There is a tree that blooms every summer without fail, no announcement, no ceremony, just a sudden explosion of crimson against the sky. If you’ve ever lived in a city where the Gulmohar grows, you know exactly the moment I mean. You’re going about your ordinary day and then, almost without warning, an entire street is on fire with colour. You stop. You look up. For a moment, nothing else exists.
That tree has always felt like a lesson to me.
A reminder that beauty doesn’t ask permission. That stories worth telling often live in the quietest corners in a cup of tea gone cold, in the window seat of a moving train, in a conversation that stays with you long after the other person has walked away.
April Crimsons is my attempt to gather those moments and share them with you.
This is a space for personal essays and creative writing, for travel stories and the kind of lifestyle musings that don’t fit neatly into a category. But it’s also a place for gifting ideas, book recommendations, travel suggestions, little things worth trying, and finds that made everyday life feel a little richer. Think of it as a conversation between friends, where one of us always has something interesting to pass along.
Nothing here is in a hurry. Every piece, every suggestion, every recommendation is offered with warmth and intention to make you feel something, try something, or simply pause for a moment.
So if you’ve found your way here, I’m glad you did.
Grab something warm to drink. Find a comfortable spot.
There are stories to read, ideas to explore, and so much more to come.
And this is only the beginning. 🙂
